BIOACTIVELAYER PROJECT, AT EMPACK 2015 IN MADRID

The partner ITENE was at G34 stand in the Packaging Innovations Fair during the 18th and 19th of November 2015 in Madrid (Spain).

EMPACK 2015 was focused on packaging solutions from materials, equipment and technology to design and marking techniques through to recycling and environmental packaging.

The event is designed for visitors from medium-sized enterprises that want to find out about the lastest packaging technologies.

ITENE showed one of its lastest project: BioActiveLayer, a new packaging solution that provides a unique alternative to existing solution of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP). It provides a cost-effective and fully recyclable and biodegradable solution to the dried food industry. The tailor-made material also maintains product quality and assure food safety, provinding a shelf life of up to 24 months. A sample of this innovative material was present as a packaging for dried coffee, as an example of one possible industrial applications.

The last edition of EMPACK, celebrated with LOGISTICS and Packaging Innovations 2014, atractted more tan 7.800 professional visitors. 97% of them came back to this year edition.

EMPACK celebrated on this edition its 8th Aniversary incorporating new areas, more than 110 companies and 7800 packaging professionals.
